PAQS Congress in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 25-26 August 2025
The Association of Quantity Surveyors Thailand (AQST) was honoured to participate in the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS) Congress 2025, held on 25–26 August 2025 at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta, Indonesia. Hosted by the Ikatan Quantity Surveyor Indonesia (IQSI), the congress brought together quantity surveying professionals, academics, industry leaders, and professional associations from across the Asia-Pacific region, representing 15 countries united by a shared commitment to advancing the profession. Held under the theme of digital transformation and sustainable development in the built environment, the congress featured a rich programme of keynote addresses, technical presentations, panel discussions, and workshops. Leading experts and practitioners took to the stage to share insights on the latest trends shaping the quantity surveying profession, including the adoption of 5D BIM, artificial intelligence, embodied carbon reduction, and smart urban development — all of which are increasingly central to the role of the modern quantity surveyor. AQST delegates actively engaged throughout the two-day programme, gaining invaluable knowledge, forging new professional connections, and representing Thailand with distinction on the international stage. The congress also provided an important opportunity for AQST to strengthen its relationships with fellow PAQS member associations and to reaffirm its commitment to regional cooperation and the pursuit of professional excellence. Participation in the PAQS Congress 2025 reflects AQST’s ongoing mission to keep its members at the forefront of the profession — connected to global developments, equipped with the latest knowledge, and positioned as credible and respected contributors to the advancement of quantity surveying across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
