MOU Signing between AIQS and AQST in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 24 August 2025

In a landmark moment for the quantity surveying profession in the Asia-Pacific region, the Association of Quantity Surveyors Thailand (AQST) and the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 24 August 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the sidelines of the PAQS Congress 2025. This historic signing marks a significant milestone in strengthening bilateral ties and fostering greater professional collaboration between Thailand and Australia.

The MOU establishes a formal framework for cooperation between the two associations, encompassing key areas such as the mutual recognition of professional qualifications, continuing professional development (CPD), knowledge sharing, and the exchange of best practices in quantity surveying. It also paves the way for greater mobility and recognition of quantity surveying professionals between the two countries, opening new opportunities for members of both associations.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both AQST and AIQS, reflecting the high level of commitment and goodwill shared by both organisations. This agreement represents not only a deepening of the professional relationship between Thailand and Australia, but also a broader affirmation of the shared values of excellence, integrity, and collaboration that underpin the global quantity surveying community.

For AQST, the MOU with AIQS is a testament to the Association’s growing international presence and its unwavering dedication to advancing the standards of the quantity surveying profession in Thailand. It is a proud step forward in AQST’s journey toward greater regional and international integration, and a reflection of the trust and respect that has been built between the two associations over the years.
